After a good nights sleep in the car park near Needham Lakes I was up at 5:30 and out with my camera but sadly no nice shots as it was a very poor sunrise :( I did a circuit of the lake by which time Mag was up so we went to the paper shop open at 6:30 on a Sunday morning and parked up at the spot we had yesterday by the water for breakfast and to watch the old boys with their radio controlled boats !!! and make up our minds what we were doing today ???
We decided as it was a nice day to start off walking from Needham to Baylham and hen see where we would
end up :)
We walked through Alderson Lake, a spot I used to fish many years ago and on to Pips Ford where we saw three horses paddling in a lake and Mag spotted a kingfisher :)
We arrived at the Baylham rare breeds farm before it opened at 10:30 and headed into the country turning right in Baylham village past Darmsden and it's remote church and onto the Needham Red Lion for a lamb lunch :) it was not the best meal I have ever had with well undercooked veg and average lamb :( remind me never to have a roast out again as the gravy is never as good as Mags !!!
We then had the stop off quickly in Ipswich for abit of shopping - one store only ,that’s my kind of shopping and home - tired out but enjoyed every minute :)
So only three more days before we are off to France in search of some snow :) failing that we will head to the Med for some sun.
Lets hope the wind returns before I forget how to windsurf !!!!
